Day after Thanksgiving

To what can I liken mashed potatoes with no butter/salt?
Perhaps to say, Apple Crisp without French Vanilla ice cream?

Here I sit, the day after Thanksgiving: at work.
There a small crew here.
Apparently, the fashionable folks, took at least today off..
However, there’s something attractive about coming in when there's hardly a soul around. It gives you the feeling, or at least the impression that you're able to get lots more done than is normally possible with the full complement of geeks to pester, hover, and demand.
