Chicken & Head Gaskets

SndWlkrS: hows the beamer today?
CelticPiping: home
CelticPiping: I think the alternaotr is good
CelticPiping: which is good
CelticPiping: but,
CelticPiping: the bad thing is:
CelticPiping: where the bleep did all my coolant go:
CelticPiping: most likely,
CelticPiping: it got burned up by the engine
SndWlkrS: why would it do that?
CelticPiping: whcih means, of course, that it got INTO the engine
CelticPiping: which is bad
CelticPiping: we'll see
CelticPiping: im gonna keep a real close eye on it(my one good one)
SndWlkrS: so oil in the engine is bad.
CelticPiping: oooh no
CelticPiping: oil is very good for the health of an engine
CelticPiping: coolant is bad
SndWlkrS: OHHH!!!
SndWlkrS: how would coolant get in the engine?
CelticPiping: coolant travels in & around the engine through channels it's supposed to stay in
CelticPiping: but, if the head gasket blows,
CelticPiping: or some other passageway is compromised,
CelticPiping: it gets in there
CelticPiping: & consequently, usually turns the oil a sludgy muck
CelticPiping: kinda whiteish in color..
CelticPiping: however, in this case,
CelticPiping: the oil, so fay anyway looks fine
CelticPiping: which though good, means,
SndWlkrS: hmmmmm
CelticPiping: that the coolant is getting most likely burned up by the engine meaning:
CelticPiping: it's probably leaking into the head
SndWlkrS: did that hmmmmm make it appear as tho i was contemplating what the problem might be, because I was actually thinking about fried chicken.
CelticPiping: & getting burned along with the fuel/air mixture
CelticPiping: u rok man
SndWlkrS: and thats bad...
SndWlkrS: dude, I do hope the best for ya, and I really wish I could help.
SndWlkrS: i just open a hood and see wires, hoses and steel.
CelticPiping: nice

Carbs

Hah!
You thought I was gonna talk about carbohydrates!
NOT
We're talking REAL carbs.
As in, Carburetors
I pulled the carb rack off the Yamaha last night so my buddy can do his magic.

mini-pooper as opposed to a cooper....(a rant)

So, one little social anomaly that has increasingly bugged me, is this annoying use of a particular opening line of most phone conversations. Typically it will proceed as follows:

Receiver: "Hello?"
Initiating caller: "Hello? Hi , Claire here, how are you?"
Receiver: "good"

The "how are you" part kills me.
It's now become the standard opener, and it wouldn't be such a lame thing if it held any real meaning.
But it doesn't.
I hear people start phone conversations here where I work (IT), and it just sounds so lame, like the person placing the call is really just getting something out of the way.

Boy, I guess this perhaps reaveals the idealist in me, where I want words to actually mean something.
Alas!

BikerBoy...well, not exactly
